Stop Fighting the Same Battles. Discover an Easier Way to Handle the Everyday Challenges of ADHD.
When ADHD is part of your family life, everyone feels the impact.
It's not just about your child struggling to get ready in the morning, finish their homework or put down their phone. It's also about how these everyday situations affect the way you communicate, the patience you have left for each other and sometimes even your relationship with your partner.
You want to be understanding and supportive, but you also need your child to cooperate. And when the usual parenting advice isn't working, it's difficult to know what to do differently.
The ADHD Starter Kit helps you understand what's happening beneath the behaviour and gives you practical tools to approach these everyday challenges differently.

Sound familiar?
- Mornings, homework and bedtime end in conflict, and the whole house feels it
- You yell, then feel embarrassed, ashamed and sad about it
- You and your partner disagree on the approach, and it is creating tension between you
- You have tried the charts, rewards, and checklists but nothing works for long
- You understand a lot about ADHD but still don't know what to do in the moment
- You feel like everything falls on your shoulders, and over time, resentment has started to build.
The solution starts with regulation, not changing behaviour.
When your child is overwhelmed, more instructions, reminders or consequences rarely help. That's why we start by teaching regulation and then helping everyone learn to respond differently. Once emotions have settled, there's room to teach new skills and work on behaviour.
The Starter Kit looks at the whole family: how to start changing things together.
When one person in the family has ADHD, everyone is affected. The way you communicate, respond to frustration and handle everyday challenges all influence what happens at home. That's why we look at the whole family, not just the child with ADHD. When your family begins to understand each other better, that's when real change becomes possible.
Real change begins when you stop focusing on who's doing something wrong and start understanding how ADHD is affecting the way your family interacts.
Change does not come from one person trying harder. Everyone learns to regulate together, with shared language and tools the whole family can use.
When family life becomes a constant cycle of reminders, frustration and arguments, it's easy to start seeing each other as the problem. Your child feels constantly criticised, you feel ignored, and everyone becomes defensive. Understanding each other, not just ADHD is what helps your family finally feel understood.

Six practical tools for everyday family life

Kelly Brändli
Kelly started coaching couples in 2019 and founded Sinaps in 2024 to help families impacted by ADHD rebuild connection, understand each other better and rediscover the joy of being together.
Her approach starts with understanding and regulation, rather than simply trying to change behaviour. She helps families move from “I understand why this is happening” to “Now I know what to do when it happens.”
What's possible when your family begins to understand ADHD differently?
These families have changed the way they respond to everyday challenges, communicate with each other and rebuild relationships that had become strained over time.
“My 11 year old son has always struggled with the morning routine, homework, chores, and getting to bed which often led to meltdowns. Since working with Kelly, we’ve been able to help him learn better ways to cope and it’s been 2 months now since he’s had a major meltdown. I never thought he’d get there but with the right guidance we’ve learned a new way to relate as a family. We really have found peace despite ADHD. Thank you so much!”
“Kelly gives great advice and tools to help. The biggest change after working with Kelly is how I approach my daughter now. I know how to handle the situations when she is having an outburst or isn’t doing a task, I have asked her to do. We started having more quality time together.”
“I think that Kelly’s understanding of ADHD, combined with her process-oriented approach, has been exactly what my husband and I have needed to surface and move beyond past resentments. It’s also been hugely beneficial in educating both of us; most significantly, by positively impacting the relationship between the two of us, and between my husband and my son.”
“Since working with Kelly, the most valuable change for our family has been developing a better understanding of neurodiversity and better tools for my husband and me. We both have more patience now and don’t lose it as often as we used to. Our family dynamics have definitely improved. Kelly was also incredibly flexible, my husband and I have crazy, opposing schedules, and she always worked around them.”
“Our family dynamic has changed in such a positive way since working together with Kelly. After every single call with Kelly, we come away with insights and practical steps! We have also learned so much about the children’s behaviour and their ADHD brains.”
“Working with Kelly has transformed how we manage and work with ADHD in our family. Despite my wife and I feeling well informed about ADHD before entering this coaching relationship, Kelly has consistently provided us with practical solutions and new perspectives. We’re now better able to ‘read’ in what state our son is and anticipate escalations, giving us the chance to counter act. It’s been a massive win for everyone in our family!”
